Mom!

My most fabulous mom! She's a lots of fun, a wonderful cook and a very good friend to me! We went to Destin last fall and had a wonderful time. She's on her way back to Destin right this very minute. Hey mom! If you happen to read this...I can't wait to hear the waves rolling in when you call me. I love ya!

My favorite Christopher!

This is my fabulous nephew Christopher. This picture was taken at birthday party. He is 7 years old and apparently loves ketchup! He is very smart and tells good jokes. He also like to watch ALF and Deal or No Deal. He is learning lots of big words and uses them at yard sales! Christopher is a very handsome young man and his Aunt Susie loves him very much!

My Beach Picture

I've tried to choose the most flattering one of course. It wasn't easy...there's so many! :) I love Destin. I love the sunset at the beach and listening to the waves roll in. Getting lots of seashells isn't bad either.

Rainy Day in Memphis

This one is for Mis Pris! There's not really much to say about today, except that it's been stormy all morning. The dogs had to go pee before I left for work, so they got nice and wet. Today is a good day to be at home in bed. Jane is leaving early today and says she's going home and going back to sleep.

I'm reading a book called Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. It's a book I'm reading for Readers Advisory. I need to hurry up and finish it. My annotation is due on the 16th. It's a book about a father writing a letter to his son. The father is an older man and is dying. He has a young son and is writing the letter to his son so that he can tell him all the things he thinks he would have told him had he been around as the son grows up. The book is well written. The pace is slow, but that lets you get to know the father very well.

Saturday at Work

I just love working on Saturday. :( It's slow here at the old library this morning. Time is just dragging. Everybody must be at home sleeping in. Wish I was too. This is a picture of where I work. It's really a nice little library. I'm getting know all the neighborhood folks. The neighborhood is pretty quiet. The folks that come in the library are really nice. I've been here for just over two years and I feel like I've learned a lot. My co-workers are great. We're a good team I think.

Lucy's Brothers

These are Lucy's brothers, Major and Murphy. They love their sister. :) Actually, Major could care less that she's around. Murph likes to growl at her, probably because she slaps at him through the window when the boys are outside. I think she's taunting Murph!

My cat Lucy

This is my cat Lucy. I adopted her from a shelter 2 years ago. She's about 9 years old. Lucy enjoys sleeping...and sleeping! She has two brothers-a German Shepard and a Lab/Chow mix. They get along very well. Not! :)
